# Missing children

Thursday, September 08, 2005 11:49 AM by Safiyah Fosua

So many little ones looking for their mommies.
So many little ones longing for their dads.
May God unite missing children with their parents and prepare loving homes for those who have suffered loss. Amen.

May your word and love,
be a healing balm
to the wandering souls of this world,
for the ones suddenly
homeless by Natures storm,
those that are surviving with
loved ones newly gone.
Dry their tears
and their heartaches heal.
As they turn to you father in heaven.
For solace. For the peace.
The kind of peace that passes
all understanding.
Grant them sweet rest in your
spirit Lord.
A Peace Like this world has never known.

# Dealing with the Strangeness

Thursday, September 15, 2005 7:52 PM by Safiyah Fosua

I have survived many unpleasant times knowing that at the end of the meeting, the dinner, the party, the visit, I could go home. Lord, have mercy upon those who long for a safe quiet place to be alone. Give them the strength and the grace that they need to endure the constant assault to their senses and their sensibilities. Be with those who are weary of rehearsing their stories aloud. Help those of us who minister to know when to be quiet. Amen.

# A Renewed Call to Pray

Wednesday, September 21, 2005 1:02 PM by Safiyah Fosua

I am overwhelmed by the possibility that another hurricane is about to hit the region. A new prayer titled: Waiting for Rita has been posted at http://www.gbod.org/worship/default.asp?act=reader&item_id=14931 and we encourage you to include this new concern in your prayers.
